Goods and Service are at the heart of any economy and they should be the cornerstone of your online businesses. I am particulary wary of people promoting online services that are not all they may seem to be. Does this sound familiar?

“You buy an eBook from me on how to run an internet business. It’s on special offer this month on $49.95 instead of $99.95. This eBook will tell you all you need to know about how to make your fortune on the internet. The eBook tells you make an internet business selling this eBook to other people…”

I’m sure it must be familiar to many people because there are literally thousands of people out there doing this. Does it work? For some people I’m sure it does. For many, I guess they spend the $49.95 and then feel completely conned. This isn’t what I’m about, a long term sustainable income can only be derived from offering genuine goods and/or services. The more micro income streams you can have from genuine sources the better your long term income will be.

Enough preaching? Time to start putting some ideas to work….

Do a quick seach on Google for How to Make a Million Dollars on the Internet and you will find almost 16.5 million results! There’s clearly an obsession with making a million dollars. A goal is good. Shoot for the moon and all that! Realistically a million dollars from the internet isn’t going to happen without a great deal of hard work… or a genius idea like milliondollarhomepage.com…

A daily target will enable you to get a realistic grasp of what your internet earnings are. So aim for a regular dollar a day first, and then $10 a day… Keep things in perspective.

An obvious quote to start a blog? Maybe. Nonetheless it’s a very fitting quote and one that reminds us to realise that the journey to our goal, whatever that may be , could be a long one, but making the first step important.

The Halcyon Way is going to be a journey of generating an income from the internet. Ok – before you run somewhere else… I’m not going to try sell you an e-Book, get you to subscribe to my mailing list or promise you untold riches by this time next week! I do think it is vital to have integrity and honesty in whatever business you conduct. I believe that many websites offering advice on making money from the internet are being somewhat deceptive, but more on that later. One fact I can tell you right now is that it is possible to have a residual income from the internet. Let’s find out how to start making one and then how to make it grow…
